Just had a thought that does being in a Democratic nation means blaming the Government for all our issues. Can there be nothing that can be done by us, since we have to leave for office or we are busy earning our livelihood!!!.

Yes ! I adore the thought that the Govt. may be at lack to sort things but is it not our responsibility to watch out for ourselves. Just a few days back I read and saw that there is a electricity crisis in Delhi. is there nothing we can do about it other than protesting outside the power offices. Can't we start looking of options where we can try to help ourselves. I am not at all talking about setting up a power plant by the affected people, not did I watch Swades last night, but I am talking about making the change.

I keep on listening that there is water crisis. What I know is that water comes from the underground level where the water level is slowly degrading, so can we not stop the wastage of water or do rain water harvesting which we can easily do by connecting a pipe which runs from our roofs to the below house levels so it seeps back to the water level. Well! It's tough to think beyond ourselves and do that.

I have a easy question.. How many of us have even done a single act to help out our society. The minimum could be " No usage of polythene" . So if we couldn't do a single act to help ourselves, how can we blame the Government for anything for the selection of which around 40% people don't even go to vote.(Source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voter_turnout).

So the basic motive is to bring change in ourselves rather than expecting someone else to cove over.
